About the brand
Stand at Art Amsterdam ‘The Thieme GrafiMedia Group finds it important to make itself available to artistic talent at well-chosen moments. The Group bases this on the idea that art has a very great significance in all aspects of life.’ (Hans Jansen Maneschijn, director De Longte Dordrecht bv, Thieme GrafiMedia Group). That is why the artist is central to the design of the Thieme GrafiMedia Group stand. The design is based on the content of the book ‘The Devil Drives and Other True Stories’. You step into the world/book of Jasper de Beijer (winner of the Thieme Art Award). The leporello, promotional material at the stand, refers to a leporello for tourists with important cityscapes. The work of Jasper de Beijer in this leporello is an intriguing visual report based on historical sources: the old images of an isolated trading city in the middle of the green ocean of the Amazon rainforest.
The Thieme Art Award is presented to the most promising young artist. The Thieme Art Award consists of the production of a catalogue and a presentation of the work at Art Amsterdam/KunstRAI. Last year Jasper de Beijer won. ‘Our stand, designed by Renate Boere, offers a symbiosis of art and graphic design in which Jasper de Beijer’s work can be shown to its full potential.’ (Hans Jansen Maneschijn) The stand was created in collaboration with Jasper de Beijer and Hans Jansen Maneschijn.
