About the award
After winning a prize at The European Design Award, the International Design Awards also rewarded us with a prize in the category Best Books for ‘Sproken/Fairy Tales’ Christie van der Haak.
The International Design Awards (IDA) exists to recognize, celebrate and promote legendary design visionaries and to uncover emerging talent in Architecture, Interior, Product, Graphic and Fashion Design. IDA draws attention to the iconoclasm of design worldwide: conceptualizing and producing great work. Next year may we can collect our award at the bi-anual gala event in Los Angeles!
About the Design
Studio Renate Boere was approached by the art institute Stroom The Hague to design a publication on Van der Haak’s body of work. The book is a part of the Ouborg award. Renate Boere translated the works and experience of Christie van der Haak’s world into a contemporary fairy tale, in which you wander through palace halls, decorated by patterns that were never seen before.
