About the event
A new year, a new policy plan and after the General Members Meeting (GMM) four speakers about how they radically changed course. Renate Boere will speak on Wednesday 1 March about initiating her own projects and her new book ‘Ik vraag u iets meer lef te toont’.
Please note: there are still a few places available, so register quickly!
Tom Dorresteijn (Studio Dumbar/DEPT), Karin Schwandt (Schwandt Infographics), Hans Wolbers (LAVA) and Renate Boere (Studio Renate Boere and author of the book ‘I ask you to show a little more courage’) will talk about ‘1+1=3’, ‘success and still quit’, ‘new generation, new model’ and ‘when courage lands’ during the event ‘Radical New Perspective!’.
A few years ago Boere found a way to make her long-cherished dream, initiating her own projects, succeed alongside her busy design practice. These socially critical projects led to well-paid work without a preconceived plan.
For a year now, she has concentrated on writing about her projects and publishing them on various media. These efforts led to winning the most innovative innovation at the PDMA congress, the European Design Award and the International Design Award last year.
The finishing touches are currently being put to the book ‘I ask you to show a little more courage’. This journalistic novel takes you on an exciting adventure and provides practical information about what you need to do if you get started yourself. Order the book now in our shop .
Before this event, the BNO will look back on 2016, but in turbulent times it will mainly look ahead. So come to Spring House for the AGM and then continue to talk about the future with experienced experts. The afternoon will be concluded with a snack and drink from Choux.
See you then! At the beautiful Amsterdam IJ right next to Central Station.
